Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my pictures in travel, interiors, and general day to day. Hope you have a nice stay!

Mission Blonde

Mission Blonde

It's been a while since I've shown my actual face on this blog so heyyyyy! Hope you're all doing fabulous....

Today I'm talking hair (before we start I'm definitely not a hairdresser and this definitely isn't a 'how to' post, it's just what worked for me, if you do try it it's at your own risk). I hate starting these kind of posts with a disclaimer but I'm terrified the one time I don't I'll be sued because someone ended up bald...

So, I've recently gone from grey back to blonde; I loved being grey but decided it was time to switch it up again (mainly after seeing how god damn amazing Jennifer Lawrence's blonde hair looked in 'Passengers' (loved that film) and because its a new year and all that. I always dabble in and out of doing my own hair and decided to get creative. I love experimenting and I figured if it goes wrong I can always just go to the hairdressers. Some of my favourite colours are ones I've achieved at home.

I was imagining a ginger bleach mess (i've had my fair share of 'at home horrors') but luckily I took the chance and it turned out not too bad! I just lifted the grey out with bleach untill my hair was white then applied an ash blonde toner from Sally's (T18 Toner) on top. There was the risk that this process could make me go grey again or even lilac but I didnt really mind even if it did. I've captured it in natural light by my window and also in artificial light too as you'll see in the images. I'm not sure how long the blonde will last but for now I really like it. Obviously you've got to be prepared for it to go wrong with any at home colour but I'm glad I took the chance, it's almost what I would call an 'Ash Beige Blonde'.
